STEM in Whyalla

Every curious young mind deserves to learn about the science that interests them, no matter where they live. Last week some of our members visited Whyalla as part of Science Alive! and gave regional kids the chance to get up close and personal with all kinds of science.

Held at the UniSA campus, over 2000 science enthusiasts attended the event.

With the global economy changing, new industries are emerging and new skills are needed for workers at all levels. Many regional areas are working hard on reinventing themselves too, moving away from traditional industries to technologies of the future.

Delivery of STEM education in the regions is important to help them develop new or existing businesses and work on issues of strategic importance to them.

All Australians should be engaged with STEM. View photos of the event.
