Passion for STEM important

Curiosity, passion and commitment are important drivers for getting people involved in the sciences and something we strive to bring to every Science Collective experience. You can see it in every one of our members too.

We were pleased to read the article in The Advertiser on September 19 2019 discussing the importance of passion and subject choice as a criteria for admission to Adelaide Uni.

Read Tim Williams' article to find out how year 12 hight school students will be able to gain entry to Adelaide University based on results in specific subjects.

Vice-Chancellor Peter Rathjen said the change would give young people the best chance at success at uni, resulting in the more highly educated workforce needed “for the future prosperity of the state” (Tim Williams).

Definitely a step in the right direction and one that we think STEM employers in South Australia would be happy with as well.
