Hands-on science @ The Hopgood involves member organizations of The Science Collective bringing all kinds of fun to the southern suburbs. Prof Flint's Dinosaur Show, Litmus Liam's amazing chemistry workshop, paper rocket-making, robotics by Techspace Learning, a Wildlife Show by Animals Anonymous, science craft by Dig-a-Dino, a fabulous bugs n slugs display, marshmallow & spaghetti tower building, two types of slime-making and many other displays and activities will ensure that this school holiday activity will be the one that the kids will never want to leave

Litmus Liam
Explore some chemistry with Litmus Liam! In this hands on workshop, you'll see some incredible chemical changes and you'll wonder if it's magic or science! The answer of course, is that it's the world of wonderful science
Bugs n Slugs
They're creepy and they're crawly and there's so much more to them than meets the eye. Check out some really incredible bugs n slugs. You'll be guaranteed to learn something new!
Animals Anonymous
There's no doubt that there's lots to learn about the world of native animals and lucky for us, Animals Anonymous will be there to teach us more about the animals in the world around us in their Native Animal Show.
Dig a Dino
All kids love dinosaurs right? Well come and explore the world of dinosaurs and do some dino craft at the dig a dino crafty dino zone.
Activities
There's lots of hands on fun - you can make rockets, spaghetti towers, explore magical reverse writing, make slime and more!
Techspace Learning
Techspace are the robotics and programming experts. Have some fun exploring their robotics - you'll be glad you did.
Electric Circuits
Learn all about the world of circuitry - join the circuits to make the light shine or the buzzer buzz. There's lots to learn with our hands on electric circuit kits and easy to follow instructions.
STEM hands on zone
There's rockets to make, hands on engineering challenges and things to make and take. You might go home as a junior engineer!
